The Chicago area has an abundance of creative talent. In the past several years, I have had the opportunity to photograph dozens of people proficient in a wide variety of creative disciplines. Whether they are painters, writers, musicians, or chefs, I always feel that I am photographing a kindred spirit, and my subject respects the effort I put forward in making them look their best as I struggle to communicate some aspect of their life’s passion.
